Sendchat ("we", "us", "our") provides live chat software for businesses. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and service.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, company name, and password when you register.
  • Workspace data: widget settings, chat messages, visitor names and emails (when collected), and uploaded attachments.
  • Visitor data: IP address, browser information, pages visited, and approximate location (when enabled on your plan).
  • Payment data: transaction references processed through Paystack. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage data: logs, device information, and analytics needed to operate and improve the service.

3. How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the live chat service.
  • Process subscriptions and send transactional emails.
  • Improve product performance, security, and reliability.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data or your visitors' data. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate Sendchat (e.g. hosting, email delivery, payment processing) and when required by law.

5. Data retention

Chat history and attachments are retained according to your plan's archive settings. When you delete your account or workspace, we remove associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including HTTPS, access controls, and regular backups. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at support@sendchat.click. Workspace owners are responsible for handling visitor data requests related to chats on their site.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, and service functionality. The chat widget may set cookies on your visitors' browsers to maintain conversation continuity.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
